Fra årsskiftet er en ny gruppe virksomheder forpligtede til at bæredygtighedsrapportere efter EU-fastsatte krav. Mere rapportering er godt for den grønne omstilling, men en elefant at sluge for mange virksomheder.
CFO’en spiller en central rolle i transformationen fra compliance til strategi og værdiskabelse. Med den indsigt, som ESG-rapportering bidrager med, får CFO’en mulighed for at identificere, hvordan bæredygtighed kan integreres i forretningsmodellen og dermed skabe langsigtet værdi.
Danske virksomheder står over for et hidtil uset pres fra ESG-compliance- og bæredygtighedskrav. CSRD og EU’s taksonomi bringer en mængde rapporteringskrav, som i praksis kan virke overvældende. Fra tidligere at have arbejdet med CSR som en lystbetonet disciplin, hvor virksomheder kunne prioritere bæredygtighed, når og hvor det gav mening, står de nu med en kompleks, bunden rapporteringsopgave, som ofte opfattes som ren byrde. Men hvad hvis vi vendte perspektivet? Hvad hvis compliance ikke kun var en opgave for CFO’en med fokus på lovoverholdelse og begrænsning af omkostninger? Hvad hvis det også kunne være en motor for strategisk fornyelse og værdiskabelse?
Flere ESG-softwareudviklere hævder at gøre CSRD-rapporteringen "meget enkel og effektiv". Det lyder fantastisk! Det kan spare tid og penge, og det er tillokkende. Men hvad nu, hvis det samtidig introducerer betydelige risici for din virksomhed? CSRD er ikke enkelt, og dem der påstår det, gør dig en bjørnetjeneste.
